On Sunday, March 25, 2018, of Bethesda, MD. Career Foreign Service Officer, specializing in Latin America. Among other positions, served as Ambassador to Bolivia and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs. Later, served as Senior Policy Advisor of the Fellowship in International Development Program of Partners of the Americas. Beloved husband of the late Janet A. Stedman; father of Diana Stedman Donaldson, James Boardman Stedman and Lawrence Christopher Stedman; grandfather of Nora Stedman Flanzraich, and Claire Isobel Stedman Barry; great-grandfather of Sylvia Jay Barry and Hazel Mae Barry. Private inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium. A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. John Collins Bradley, M.D.
(Age 75)
On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, of Washington, DC. Son of the late James C. and Margaret C. Bradley. Beloved partner of Jim Kampe; loving father of Kelly Thackston, Laura (Jon) McCoy, Paul Bradley, Mary (Ken) Kolb and Elizabeth Bradley. Cherished grandfather of Turner, Baeley, Ellsie, Adeleine and Alexander. Brother of the late James C. Bradley, III and the late William Joseph Bradley.
Dr. Bradley completed his pre-medical and medical degrees at Georgetown University. Following graduation, he was selected to become the Chief Resident at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Bradley completed his fellowship at the Washington Hospital Center where he specialized in ophthalmology. Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Bradley became a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist. He then joined the Navy where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. In 1974, Dr. Bradley opened a private practice in Chevy Chase, M.D. where he specialized in ophthalmic surgery for over 35 years.

On March 16, 2018, Catherine Tham, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away at the age of 79 years. Catherine will be forever remembered by her husband of 59 years, Nyuk Kee Lai, and their eight children, Shui Chin (Kam), Su Lee (Loung), Soo Hen, Su Fun (Han), Su Kyun (Tuvan), Su Ching (Kevin), Su Yun, and Su Fui (Sammie). Catherine will also be fondly remembered by her sixteen grandchildren, Alex, Amanda, Amy, Anson, Ping, Yun, Mary, Emily, Jameson, Aiden, Allison, Annabel, Mee Na, Helen, Vincent, and Candace; as well as her dear friends. Catherine was always kindhearted, caring, faithful, honest, patient, and understanding to others. She was a caregiver to all her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, studying the Bible, cooking, and talking to her family members and friends. A prayer service and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23, at 8:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue Silver Spring, MD. Interment will follow in the family plot at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
